We are seeking a highly skilled Deployment Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing our agent deployment processes. This role will focus on developing automated systems and tools that empower our clients to seamlessly deploy and manage our agents within their diverse environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong DevOps background, extensive experience in large-scale deployment methodologies, and a deep understanding of containerization, orchestration, and configuration management tools, coupled with a passion for creating developer-friendly solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal agent teams and external clients to understand deployment challenges and develop effective, scalable, and automated solutions
Design and implement automation strategies, tools, and frameworks to simplify and accelerate agent deployments, reducing friction and improving efficiency for our clients
Provide expert guidance on containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKS), and configuration management tools (Helm, potentially Ansible, Chef, or Puppet), ensuring seamless integration with client environments
Develop and maintain deployment scripts, pipelines, and APIs using Bash, Python, Golang, and potentially PowerShell, ensuring seamless integration, customization, and ease of use for developers
Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance for our clients
Stay abreast of emerging DevOps technologies and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement in our deployment automation solutions
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including developers, clients, and internal teams
Qualifications
Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on deployment automation, optimization, and developer tooling
Strong scripting and programming skills in Bash, Python, Golang, or other relevant languages
In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their deployment services (ECS and similar)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing individual initiative with collaborative problem-solving
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform
Understanding of security best practices in DevOps environments
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience with REST APIs and CLI development
Passion for creating developer-friendly tools and automation solutions
