Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. Come help us unlock peace of mind so everyone can stay safer online.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Developer Relations Manager to join our Community Engagement Team. As a Developer Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our developer community, fostering relationships, advocating for our platform, and driving community engagement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure developers have the resources, support, and guidance they need to succeed with 1Password within their daily workflows.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced developer who is up to date with latest dev eco-systems and practices, including developer tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Docker, Postman, VScode, etc), popular programming languages (Go, Python, Javascript, etc), and a good understanding of the challenges of getting code to production (DevOps).

  • Passion for 1Password, and a genuine interest in the security space

  • Proven experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related role within the technology industry.

  • You feel energized in connecting with people, virtually and in person - the thought of leading a meetup or attending a conference and engaging with different stakeholders excites you.

  • A strong communicator, writer, and public speaker. Being successful in this role will require you to excel at both internal and external communication. You love explaining technical concepts to a diverse audience.

  • Passion about being a community and customer advocate. You understand why customer voices are so important.

  • You are ambitious and self driven - you love the idea of building on something new, and have the flexibility to adapt quickly as priorities shift.

  • Solid understanding of cross departmental functions including Marketing, Technology and Product.

  • Experience working with various online community platforms and tools.

  • You are an organized master multitasker, someone who knows how to set goals, prioritize, and maintain focus when it comes to deadlines.

What you can expect:

  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, partners, and industry leaders to drive adoption and collaboration within our Developer Community. You will act as a key champion, and bridge between our developer community and the 1Password team, maintaining both interests to drive towards strengthening our community offering.

  • Support community building efforts through content creation, speaking opportunities and the development of new partnerships within the developer space.

  • Create technical content (demos, videos, blogs, tutorials, workshops, webinars, conference presentations, CFPs, etc) to educate and empower developers to build with 1Password.

  • Represent 1Password at community and customer engagements including meetups, conferences, and other events.

  • Working with the Developer Community Manager, you will monitor our communities, like Reddit, Mastodon and Slack, to identify trends that support the creation of new content targeted to drive engagement.

  • Collect and communicate developer feedback for product improvement, collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to advocate for developer needs.

  • Play an important role in the coordination of launches for our product updates and improvements, collaborating with our Marketing, and Product Marketing teams.

  • Analyze developer engagement metrics on key projects, and report to stakeholders to track efficacy.
