Developer Relations Engineer
Why This Role?
Warp has built a product loved by early adopters, but we’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible. We’re looking for our second Developer Relations Engineer, to help build our developer community and shape how developers learn and engage with Warp.
This role is about creating trust and excitement among developers. You’ll design and run programs that make Warp a natural hub for builders, from content and events to community programs and partnerships. You’ll be a key storyteller for Warp, and a connector between the developer ecosystem and our internal teams. You’ll join a scrappy Growth team of 6, alongside our incredible Developer Relations Engineer, Ben.
Build & Ecosystem Engineering
Build native integrations and workflows on Warp (Warp 3.0, SDKs, MCP, API baselines)
Create canonical examples with Docker, GitHub Actions, infra tooling, and data stacks
Partner with model providers and dev-tool ecosystems to co-develop best practices
Ship educational content that becomes the standard reference for Warp’s agent platform
Produce highly technical content — videos, blogs, tutorials, demos — that demonstrates Warp in real developer workflows
Share content and videos on social media channels
Developer Advocacy
Be a visible and trusted face of Warp in the developer ecosystem
Run in-person and online community programs: meetups, hackathons, and workshops
Engage directly with developers at conferences, panels, podcasts, livestreams, AMAs, and meetups
Build and nurture a strong community around Warp — from independent builders to enterprise champions
Cultivate relationships with developer influencers and open-source leaders, amplifying their work with Warp
Feedback & Collaboration
Funnel community insights and developer feedback into Warp’s product, growth, and engineering roadmaps
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create showcases and integrations
Partner with marketing and comms to bring a developer-first voice into campaigns and launches
You May Be a Good Fit If You…
Have 2-5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product work, with demonstrated success in nurturing developer ecosystems.
Are a developer who enjoys building and sharing your work, with an established online following or strong credibility in the community.
Thrive on engaging with developers across channels — from conferences and meetups to online spaces like Discord, Slack, and Twitter/X — and are comfortable representing a product on stage, on camera, and in public forums.
Create compelling technical content — tutorials, demos, blogs, or videos — that resonates with developers and drives adoption.
Have experience advocating for developer tools, SDKs, and extensible platforms, and bring curiosity, pragmatism, and creativity to growing communities.
Have experience organizing community programs for developer products and ecosystems

Salary Transparency
Total compensation at Warp consists of two parts: 1) a competitive base salary, and 2) meaningful equity.
When we find the right person, we try to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you. The budgeted compensation range for this role is targeted at $170,000 – $200,000. Final total compensation depends on experience and expertise.
In addition to salary, all employees receive further compensation in the form of equity in the company. This is a meaningful stock option grant with a four-year vesting period and one-year cliff. Your equity is where most of the significant upside potential is. Comparing startup equity is always a bit tricky, so we’re happy to walk you through different valuation scenarios at the offer stage in order to help paint a clearer picture of the upside.
Final total compensation is determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
