We are looking for experienced Data Scientists to join our platform teams. In this role, you will use data to build a bridge between user experience and engineering systems, guide engineering roadmaps, and collaborate on goals around building a solid product foundation.

 

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leverage data to understand how system availability, reliability, performance, and efficiency impacts user experience

  • Design and evaluate experiments to help teams quantify impact and inform future iteration

  • Design and surface metrics and frameworks to guide decision making

  • Develop new techniques, datasets, and tools that will enable answering previously unanswered questions and discovering new areas of opportunity

  • Design and maintain scalable data solutions that can be leveraged across multiple teams

  • Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Research, Design, Sales, and Marketing

Teams we are currently hiring for:

  • Creation Engine: Creation Engine is a platform team thats work on some of the core technologies that power our real time, browser-based Figma Design and FigJam products. This team focuses on improving the performance and quality of our products, as well as building scalable tools that allow other feature teams to build performant and reliable features. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working closely with engineering teams and has a strong track record of using data to influence strategy.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in Analytics, Data Science or Software Engineering

  • Fluency in SQL

  • Proficiency in Python, R or similar scripting language

  • Experience in distributed data processing systems (Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, etc)

  • Firm knowledge around statistical methods and experiment design

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills

  • A self-starting mindset along with strong communication and collaboration skills
