Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical as we prepare for eight upcoming software releases, necessitating a shift from manual to automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing and will be instrumental in enhancing our testing processes to improve software quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements and design test scenarios

• Execute automated test cases and analyse results to ensure quality deliverables

• Identify and report defects, working closely with the development team for resolution

• Enhance test frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and test coverage

• Ability to Create and maintain automation and performance testing frameworks

• Develop performance test plans based on system and business requirements.

• Define key performance objectives, such as response time and concurrent user loads.

• Create performance test scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.

• Conduct load, stress, and endurance tests to ensure the system’s stability and resilience.

• Collect and analyse performance data to identify potential issues.

• Identify performance-impacting factors and provide recommendations for optimization.

• Prepare detailed reports that include Automation and performance test results and improvement recommendations.

• Document issues and tests thoroughly to track performance over time.

• Suggest improvements for existing performance & automation tools and develop new tools if necessary.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in automation and performance testing. 

• Proficient in automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, and RestAssured

• Knowledge of test automation and performance frameworks and methodologies

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly

• Knowledge of testing REST APIs, including understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and RESTful service principles.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and others.

• Strong understanding of application performance principles, operating systems, and networks.

• Analytical skills to identify root causes of performance issues.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively

• Familiarity with tools for test management, defect tracking, and CI/CD integration (GitLab CI).

• Knowledge in cloud management is a plus.
