Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android/Linux Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over six years of professional experience in software development, specifically focused on Android and Linux platforms. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the USA, though onsite work is also an option.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Android and Linux-based applications and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are utilized.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the software solutions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Android and Linux software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
• Extensive experience with Android SDK, NDK, and Linux kernel.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Proven experience with embedded systems and device drivers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment or collaborate effectively onsite.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of IoT and connected devices.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles related to Android/Linux environments.
