<p>Builder.io is hiring an <strong>Accounting Manager</strong> to help build and scale our accounting operations. This role will own key accounting workflows, support the monthly close, and help transition processes currently handled by external consultants into our internal finance team.&nbsp;You’ll work closely with the <strong>Sr Accounting Manager and Head of Finance</strong> to ensure accurate financial reporting and help build efficient, scalable, next-generation accounting processes.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Own core accounting workflows, including <strong>accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue-related processes</strong>, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.</li> <li>Own and execute key components of the <strong>month-end close process</strong>, including preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger activity to support internal reporting and decision-making.</li> <li>Support <strong>financial audits and tax compliance</strong>, preparing documentation and schedules as needed.</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives and ensure accounting processes scale effectively with the business.</li> <li>Leverage&nbsp;<strong>AI, automation, and modern finance tools</strong> to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.</li> </ul> <h3>You Will Thrive in This Role If…</h3> <ul> <li>You have 5-7<strong>&nbsp;years of accounting experience</strong> in a startup, SaaS company, public accounting firm, or consulting environment.</li> <li>You have a strong understanding of <strong>GAAP fundamentals</strong>.</li> <li>You are comfortable working with <strong>general ledger systems</strong>, with experience in <strong>QuickBooks Online (QBO)</strong> preferred.</li> <li>You have experience with <strong>invoicing, bill pay, collections, and expense management workflows</strong>.</li> <li>You are <strong>detail-oriented and comfortable working in a startup environment</strong>, and enjoy solving problems amidst ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.</li> <li>You have demonstrated interest in or experience with&nbsp;<strong>AI tools</strong> (e.g., ChatGPT or Claude) that help improve workflows and reduce manual work.</li> </ul> <p><em>The items above are a starting point for a conversation, not a hard list of requirements. This role is also eligible for meaningful company equity and benefits. This position is fully remote and open to candidates in multiple locations.
