Evident Change

Evident Change is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that uses data, research, and evidence-based practices to improve social systems and create better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. Formerly known as the National Council on Crime & Delinquency and the Children’s Research Center, the organization brings decades of experience to complex challenges across the social services and justice systems.

Evident Change works across areas including child welfare, youth justice, adult justice, adult protective services, and education. Its work combines research, data solutions, assessment tools, training, and technical assistance to help organizations make more informed decisions and improve the systems that serve vulnerable populations.

The organization develops and implements evidence-based tools and frameworks designed to strengthen decision-making and improve outcomes. Its capabilities include predictive analytics, continuous quality improvement, workload studies, structured decision-making models, risk and needs assessments, and technology solutions such as SafeMeasures®.

Evident Change partners with public agencies and other organizations to translate research and data into practical improvements. Through training and technical assistance, it helps leaders and practitioners implement more effective approaches, evaluate performance, and continuously improve the way services are delivered.
