Enveritas

Enveritas is a sustainability assurance organization dedicated to improving transparency and responsible sourcing within the global coffee and cocoa industries. By conducting independent assessments of smallholder farms, the organization helps companies better understand the social, economic, and environmental conditions across their supply chains while promoting more sustainable agricultural practices.

Each year, Enveritas evaluates more than 60,000 coffee and cocoa farms across over 25 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Its field-based assessments provide coffee roasters, chocolate manufacturers, and other supply chain stakeholders with reliable, data-driven insights into sustainability risks and opportunities. By having companies—not farmers—fund these assessments, Enveritas removes financial barriers for smallholder producers, enabling broader participation in sustainability-focused global markets.

The organization's responsible sourcing framework combines supply chain verification, traceability assessments, annual sustainability evaluations, and continuous improvement investments to help companies strengthen their sourcing practices and meet evolving sustainability commitments.
