We are seeking an exceptional engineering leader to join our team and lead the delivery of innovative platform capabilities and fit-for-purpose solutions to drive our business to $1B+ ARR. The ideal candidate will be a respected technology leader with a proven track record of building and leading world-class engineering teams in a fast-paced, scaled environment.

Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the platform's core technology products that drive our platform, including user management, administration, authentication, authorization, search, file systems, UX frameworks, data storage/encryption, public APIs, and developer tools. In addition to driving a strong engineering culture to attract, motivate and retain a world-class organization, you will collaborate closely with product and other technology leaders to align our strategy with our product development roadmap and ensure successful achievement of business objectives.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and cultivate a high-performing engineering organization, attracting top talent and fostering employee engagement and growth

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to enhance the skills, motivation, and performance of team members

  • Foster a culture of respect, continuous learning, flexibility, and commitment to business goals and customer needs

  • Align staff skills and talents with tasks to optimize engagement and performance

  • Recognize and reward superior team and individual performance, promoting employee satisfaction and commitment

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, business unit leaders, and senior management to ensure collaboration and visibility

 

Engineering Strategy and Vision

  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with the company's vision and leadership

  • Identify internal and external opportunities and collaborate with Executive Management to drive innovation and solutions

  • Drive and contribute to technology, architecture and quality standards and advancements

  • Ensure engineering solutions are aligned with business objectives

  • Possess a deep understanding of our business models, data sources and system infrastructure to advance platform intelligence across our solutions

Engineering Operations

  • Drive and prioritize software development and delivery across multiple teams and phases, ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Oversee day-to-day activities, including staff development, planning, forecasting, and platform operational management

  • Proactively address obstacles to minimize schedule and technical risks

  • Optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency through process and policy implementation

  • Translate company strategy into operational goals and metrics to motivate employee performance

  • Lead team to meet company and engineering KPIs and KRs 

  • Continuously improve quality and productivity by evaluating and revising processes, tools, and standards

  • Ensure budget targets are met and resources are utilized efficiently

  • Foster a culture of fiscal responsibility and avoid unnecessary expenses and waste

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of people management experience including leading directors and managers in a product organization

  • 5+ years hands-on software development experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions

  • Proven experience overseeing core technology products, including user management, administration, authentication, authorization, search, file systems, UX frameworks, data storage and encryption, public APIs, and developer tools

  • Experience leading engineering teams at a B2B SaaS platform company that has scaled from $500M - $1B+ ARR

  • Managed teams of 50+ across architecture, engineering, and quality with proven experience in up leveling an engineering organization with multiple layers of management

  • Proven global experience and commercial mindset, with a track record of driving market expansion and penetration 

  • Capacity to evangelize the product platform with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven self-starter with low ego, high humility, high EQ and a demonstrated ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization

  • Catalyst and champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and drive teams while also providing recognition and encouragement

  • Appreciation of scaling by developing people and not just process

  • A ‘make-it-work’ mindset without a need for excessive bureaucracy and red-tape

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Up to 30% travel may be required

  • Reliable internet access for remote work

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $226,000.00 - $304,000.00

✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
