Purpose

The VP of Product at Kueski is a pivotal leadership role that guides the product organization. Working closely with the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), this role is responsible for overseeing the roadmap of core products while shaping the company’s product development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Collaborate closely with the CPTO, CEO, and other business leaders to identify key cross-product decisions that drive company growth.  Strategically align product strategy with the company vision and integrate the product team’s initiatives into a multi-year product roadmap.

  • Product Management Excellence: Foster and drive excellence in product management practices including product planning, customer discovery, product definition, testing, and deploying. Monitor the performance and quality of deliverables of product teams, nurturing a culture focused on user engagement, speed, quality, and accountability.

  • Team Leadership: Develop a strong product culture and team of skilled product managers. Build and enhance the capabilities of the product team by prioritizing recruiting, training, and ongoing coaching of product managers. Ensure alignment, consistency, and strong collaboration across product teams.

Requirements (Experience & Competencies)

  • At least 10 years of experience developing or managing well-regarded products, preferably with a career in technology

  • Proven track record in scaling and leading a high-performing product organization. Exceptionally organized and methodical in building a product management practice.

  • Experience in defining product vision and roadmaps, and managing multiple priorities effectively

  • Highly collaborative leader with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams to move in the same direction and organizing product, engineering, and design teams to continuously innovate by iterating quickly and learning from mistakes

  • Non-conventional thinker with a proven track record of building creative products.

  • Good instincts and deep analytical thinking to focus on the things that matter most.

  • Proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile development environment 

  • Expertise in product roadmapping tools; familiarity with web and mobile development technologies

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
