Video Editor (Gaming)
A fast-growing gaming content brand is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join their team and elevate their content across multiple platforms. They have established a strong presence on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram, and the brand is now expanding into long-form YouTube videos (10+ minutes) featuring game recommendations, reviews, and listicles, with engaging voiceovers and curated gameplay footage. Work Hours:20hours/week (part-time with potential to transition into full-time); AU working hours Work Set-Up:Remote (PH-based); Independent Contractor Monthly Salary:$400-$560
Key Responsibilities:
Edit two long-form YouTube videos (10+ minutes) per week using voiceovers and gameplay footage
Add engaging text overlays, basic animations, and smooth transitions to enhance viewer retention
Organize and manage large video files and project assets efficiently
Collaborate with client via Discord to receive feedback and align on creative direction
Use Google Drive and Workspace to manage files and maintain version control
Conduct light research on competitors and channel analytics to help improve content performance
Assist with basic scriptwriting and topic research as needed
Maintain consistency with the existing editing style and branding of the client
Proactively suggest and test new editing styles or techniques to improve content quality and engagement
Role Requirements:
Proven experience editing YouTube videos, ideally in the gaming or content creation niche
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or other professional video editing tools
Strong editing skills, including cutting gameplay footage, syncing audio, and creating engaging motion graphics and text overlays
Ability to effectively match voiceovers or commentary with gameplay footage
Experience conducting competitor analysis and using YouTube performance data to guide improvements
Passion for gaming and understanding of YouTube gaming culture (preferred but not required)
