Hi, we’re Gravie. Our mission is to improve the way people purchase and access healthcare through innovative, consumer-centric health benefit solutions that people can actually use. Our industry-changing products and services are developed and delivered by a diverse group of unique people. We encourage you to be your authentic self - we like you that way.

A Little More About The role:

The Vice President of Operations Optimization will lead the transformation and continuous improvement of operations across our level-funded health plan business. This leader will oversee a cross-functional team responsible for developing and delivering process improvements, vendor tools and services, and internally built technical capabilities that measurably enhance Gravie’s operational performance.

Partnering closely with Claims, Member Services, Product, Engineering, and other corporate functions, the VP will ensure operational priorities for service quality, efficiency, timeliness, and scalability are translated into a clear strategic roadmap and executed with measurable results. This role is accountable for bridging business needs, technical solutions, and operational outcomes to drive sustained performance improvements as Gravie grows.

You will:

·       Own Gravie’s operations delivery strategy, aligning investments and initiatives to enterprise goals for efficiency, service quality, and scalable cost improvements.

·       Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define and deliver a multi-year roadmap of process improvements, vendor capabilities, and technology investments.

·       Lead a regular cycle of roadmap updates informed by data, evolving market conditions, and organizational priorities.

·       Ensure operational requirements are translated into detailed business specifications and measurable performance goals.

·       Drive data-driven build-vs-buy decisions that focus Gravie’s internal resources on distinctive capabilities while optimizing cost and complexity.

·       Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of compliance requirements, contract terms, industry standards, and regulatory changes that impact operations.

·       Collaborate closely with leaders across Claims, Member Services, Technical Product Management, and Corporate Transformation to ensure alignment between business priorities and technical delivery.

·       Foster consistent, transparent communication across Gravie functions to gather feedback, share progress, and communicate new or changing operational capabilities.

·       Build and lead a high-performing team focused on measurable outcomes and operational excellence.

·       Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement that embraces feedback, leverages data to understand and enhance processes, and delivers tangible results.

·       Be accountable for execution of the performance improvement roadmap, including achievement of operational KPIs and financial improvement projections tied to specific initiatives.

You bring:

·       10+ years of progressive experience in process improvement, operations leadership, operations engineering, consulting, or quality improvement.

·       Strong understanding of health insurance operations, including claims processing, payment integrity, contact center management, and provider network management.

·       5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role.

·       Proven ability to design and deliver large-scale, measurable operational improvement initiatives.

·       Expertise in data analysis, process mapping, and operational design.

·       Working knowledge of interoperability standards, coding methods, regulations, and insurance concepts applicable to level-funded health plans.

Extra credit:

·       Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

·       Experience implementing automation, analytics, and AI technologies in operational settings

Gravie:
