Overview

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

Responsible for developing and executing OraSure Technologies’ investor relations plan, and effectively communicating the company’s narrative including financial results and short-term and long-term strategies. This role manages relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors through quarterly earnings cycles and various corporate marketing activities including non-deal roadshows and investor conferences. This position performs financial analyses and is responsible for the daily management of external relationships with current shareholders, prospective shareholders, and research analysts covering the company. When called upon by the CEO or CFO, this person is a spokesperson for the company.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

•            Understand OraSure’s strategy and objectives to develop and drive the execution of a strategic investor relations plan.

•            Serve as key advisor to CEO & CFO on issues involving analyst and investor perception of the long-term growth and health of the business.

•            Ensure executive team is up to date on investor and analyst perceptions of the company; recommend and implement any necessary course corrections in messaging or relationship management.

•            Plan an active investor relations calendar of investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other investor and analyst events.

•            Strategically partner with senior leadership and functional heads, such as the Executive Leadership Team (who are direct-reports to the CEO), Legal and Corporate Communications, and others to assist with specific investor relations activities and corporate communication.

•            Prepare quarterly earnings release materials including press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A and slide presentation; prepare other financial press releases and supplemental materials.

•            Plan and support proactive investor and research analyst targeting and relationships.

•            Lead greater corporate presence and visibility as the leader in rapid point of care diagnostics, leveraging both external and internal communications.

•            Raise awareness and prime the market for new product launches driving support and demand among all critical constituents.

COMPETENCIES / SKILLS

•            Experience with financial research tools and sell-side research analysts.

•            Demonstrated experience developing investor communications strategy and tactics.

•            Significant experience in corporate policy, financial analysis, and disclosure policy, in similarly situated companies and industry.

•            Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

•            Successful track record of interfacing with the investment and public relations community.

•            Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with attention to detail.

•            Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic team player and self-starter; commitment to excellence.

•            Confident and strong presentation skills in financial environments and the ability to communicate with Wall Street.

•            Excellent business and financial acumen.

•            Excellent organization and planning skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions internally and externally

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

•            Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, or another relevant field. MBA or other advanced graduate degree strongly preferred.

•            7-10 years’ experience of in-house corporate investor relations, finance, strategy, or similar positions for a publicly traded company
