Location: This role is completely remote-friendly. If you happen to live close to one of our physical office locations, our doors are open for you to come into the office as often as you'd like. 

As a UX Researcher in our Consumer Product org, you’ll investigate user behavior and needs using qualitative methods to design and conduct foundational and evaluative research to guide executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage their research skills to drive product strategy and improve the user experience for new and future users of Reddit.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute high-quality, high-impact research studies, focusing primarily on foundational and generative work.

  • Drive communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners, including engineering, data science, design, product/program management, etc.

  • Drive product strategy across product pillars via actionable insights and strong partnership with Product, Design, Engineering and other cross-functional team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience conducting research in-house at consumer tech company

  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product development phase.

  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

  • Experience leading strategy via partnership with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into concise, actionable insights.

  • Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining project velocity.

Nice to Haves:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Anthropology, Psychology, Statistics, Behavioral Science, Human-Computer Interaction, related fields, or equivalent experience.
