Roadie, a UPS Company, is a logistics management and crowdsourced delivery platform. Founded in 2014, Roadie offers businesses fast, flexible and asset-light logistics solutions for last-mile delivery. Roadie enables local delivery to more than 95% of U.S. households by providing access to more than 200,000 independent drivers nationwide – allowing businesses to offer their customers delivery optionality for almost any industry, from airlines to artisans.

As a UX Designer at Roadie, you’ll focus on identifying opportunities and solving key problems for Roadie’s Internal Systems. This set of tools is used by employees to resolve internal and external customer queries. You'll partner with the product team, users, and stakeholders to conduct research, design, and implement new features and usability enhancements. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring that our employees provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Designers to create delightful experiences

  • Develop subject-matter expertise, understand user problems and business goals, and identify gaps

  • Use business requirements and usability findings to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements

  • Create detailed design deliverables utilizing and contributing to the Roadie Design System

  • Continuously iterate and innovate based on data and research findings

  • Support teammates through collaboration, critique, and feedback

  • Champion user-centricity, accessibility, and inclusion when making design decisions  

  • Optimize existing experiences using data, user research, and performance metrics

  • Build strong relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency

  • Bring positive energy to the product and design teams through domain expertise, curiosity, feedback, and inspiration

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer in a fast-paced cross-functional environment

  • You have a killer portfolio that showcases your understanding of user-centered design processes and your ability to balance customer needs with business objectives when developing solutions

  • Proficiency in Figma and other relevant designer tools

  • Exposure to usability testing and survey platforms like lyssna.com and qualtrics.com

  • An inherent curiosity and passion for solving customer problems

  • Passion for working with information architecture, analytics design, information visualization

  • A keen eye for visual UI

  • Comfort with an iterative design process that includes receiving and implementing feedback

  • A desire to continuously grow your abilities through feedback and collaboration

  • System-level thinking and the ability to connect dots across the product ecosystem

  • A proactive approach with strong time-management skills, taking initiative for what needs to be done

  • A proven record of turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas effectively

  • A love for what you do and desire to try and have fun every day
