The Territory Account Manager plays a critical role in scaling our business.  As a key player within our Sales organization, you are accountable for prospecting and building the phData brand within new logo accounts and building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners within our ecosystem.  This role demands a successful track record of prioritizing revenue-generating activity to create long-term value for phData by finding new opportunities for growth and expansion. An understanding of various sales strategies and techniques, including cold calling, emailing, networking, and co-selling, to identify and connect with prospective clients and partners within a defined territory.

phData seeks a high-energy, dynamic Territory Account Manager to drive growth in the NYC Metro marketplace. The Territory Account Manager is tasked with identifying ICPs within key accounts and generating sales opportunities through inbound and outbound sales activity, including email, phone calls, meetings, social media, and in-person events, focusing on engaging and qualifying prospective customers that align with phData’s ICP and have a propensity to consume phData’s service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting into target accounts within a defined territory

  • Respond, engage, and qualify inbound leads and inquiries

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales initiatives

  • Analyzing customer personas and target audience demographics to generate leads

  • Compiling lists of potential leads to contact with information

  • Making cold calls to connect with prospective customers or clients

  • Developing and implementing email campaigns to attract new leads

  • Collaborating with sales teams to identify and convert prospective customers

  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities, providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects

  • Per our sales forecasting best practices, update and maintain visibility to accurate forecasts within SalesForce, our CRM.

  • Ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in the CRM application

Qualifications

This associate-level position requires an ambitious self-starter and someone that can effectively process inbound inquiries and identify qualified leads and opportunities. Relationship selling skills, with the ability to manage sales calls at varying levels of customer accounts, are essential.

  • BA/BS degree preferred, and 1-3 years of professional work experience in Enterprise Software Sales, preferably in Big Data, Machine Learning, and/or Data Science

  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Seamless.ai, Autopilot, Zoom, Google Apps

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence

  • Aptitude and organization skills to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving production goals from assigned territory or set of accounts

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting for Enterprise Software and/or Big Data

  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic

  • High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced distributed work environment
