You are an experienced Technology Project Estimator with a strong background in telecom, low-voltage, wireless, IT infrastructure, BMS, or EBM systems. You have a sharp eye for detail and know how to turn RFPs, drawings, specifications, and site survey data into accurate, competitive estimates.
You understand construction workflows, labor productivity, material pricing, and vendor/subcontractor proposals. You are comfortable reviewing architectural, MEP, and technology drawings, and you take pride in building estimates that are thorough, compliant, and ready for handoff to project teams.
You are analytical, organized, and collaborative. You enjoy partnering with sales, engineering, project management, and vendors to create strong bids and support successful project outcomes.
About The Role
You will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates across a variety of telecom and technology infrastructure scopes, including structured cabling, wireless networks, IT systems, Building Management Systems, and Enterprise Building Management systems.
This role requires hands-on estimating experience, strong technical understanding, and the ability to manage bid requirements from initial review through final submission and project handoff.
Other responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed cost estimates based on RFP requirements, construction drawings, specifications, and site survey data.
- Interpret and analyze plans and specifications for telecom, wireless, IT infrastructure, BMS, and EBM systems.
- Perform quantity take-offs and provide labor and material pricing for structured cabling, network systems, wireless access points, routers, switches, control systems, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure bid accuracy and competitiveness.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope compliance and pricing alignment.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and post-bid clarifications as needed.
- Maintain and update unit cost databases, labor productivity factors, and vendor pricing information.
- Support project handoff by providing accurate scope documentation to project management teams for awarded work.
Desired skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom, wireless, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure estimating.
- Extensive knowledge of low-voltage systems, wireless network design, IT infrastructure, and BMS/EBM systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting architectural, MEP, and technology drawings.
- Familiarity with CSI divisions related to telecom, security, control systems, and low-voltage scopes.
- Experience using estimating tools such as Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates or bid deadlines.
- Technical certifications such as RCDD, PMP, or BICSI are preferred.
- Experience with cost modeling, value engineering, pre-sales engineering, or design/build contracting is a plus.
- Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must be based in the United States.
Pursuant to the NYC Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $150,000- $200,000 OTE. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
