Technical Writer - Team Lead
Company Description
The world’s digital experiences run on something invisible: the infrastructure and software that keep them fast, reliable, and secure. At Gcore, you’ll help design and deliver that foundation for an AI-driven world.
We’re a global provider of infrastructure and software solutions for AI, cloud, network, and security, powering everything from real-time communication and streaming to enterprise AI and secure web applications. With 210+ edge locations, 50+ cloud regions, and thousands of GPUs, your work here can reach users and businesses across the globe.
You’ll collaborate with leading technology partners such as Intel, NVIDIA, Dell, and Equinix, and work on platforms that power digital products used around the world. Our vision is simple: to connect the world to AI, anywhere, anytime.
Want to work on technology that goes beyond a single product or industry? Join a global team of 550+ professionals building infrastructure and software that supports the entire digital ecosystem. We are currently looking for a Technical Writer-Team Lead to join us and help create clear, helpful documentation that makes our cloud services accessible to developers and technical users worldwide.
We're building documentation that moves as fast as our product development. We need a tech writing team lead who uses AI as a force multiplier and treats treats AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code as essential infrastructure—not nice-to-haves—someone who can write excellent docs themselves, lead a small team to do the same, and design workflows where AI handles repetitive work while humans ensure quality and clarity. You'll bridge engineering, product, and support teams to make our cloud infrastructure genuinely accessible to developers.
Job Description
What You’ll Do: Hands-on documentation:
Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation for Gcore cloud, network, and security products
Create clear, user-focused content that helps developers successfully adopt and use our services
Review and edit documentation produced by other writers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Continuously improve documentation structure, navigation, and usability based on user feedback
Team leadership:
Lead and mentor a small team of technical writers, combining coaching with practical guidance
Set clear priorities, distribute work, and ensure predictable delivery of documentation
Establish and maintain documentation standards, tone of voice, and quality bar across the team
Support professional growth of team members through feedback and knowledge sharing
Cross-functional collaboration:
Act as the main point of contact for documentation across product, engineering, QA, and support teams
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure documentation reflects real product behavior
Embed documentation into product development and release processes
Collect and incorporate feedback from internal teams and users
AI-enabled documentation workflows:
Drive the adoption of AI-assisted workflows to improve documentation speed, coverage, and consistency
Design and maintain pipelines that identify documentation needs from commits, code changes, and release notes
Use tools like ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar responsibly, keeping human quality control as a core principle
Ensure documentation stays in sync with fast-moving product development cycles
Process and quality management:
Build and evolve documentation-as-code workflows and automation
Introduce automated checks for documentation completeness and quality
Define and track metrics for documentation usage, effectiveness, and user engagement
Continuously improve processes based on data and feedback
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
3+ years of experience in technical writing for cloud services, APIs, or DevOps tools
Experience leading or mentoring other writers, formally or informally
Strong background in documentation-as-code workflows using Git, Markdown, and static site generators
Hands-on experience with API documentation, OpenAPI or Swagger is a strong plus
Technical understanding:
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, compute, storage, networking, CDN, security
Familiarity with developer workflows and common infrastructure tools
Ability to quickly learn complex technical products and explain them clearly to different audiences
Confidence working closely with engineers and product managers
Communication and ownership:
English C1+ with excellent written communication skills
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
Structured, proactive approach to managing multiple documentation initiatives
Comfortable balancing strategic improvements with day-to-day execution
Tools and mindset:
Experience with modern documentation platforms and toolchains
Practical experience using AI-assisted writing and automation tools
Data-driven mindset, ability to measure impact and iterate based on results
