The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging and effective training programs for customers and internal teams on our core banking software solutions for credit unions. This role plays a key part in driving successful client onboarding, product adoption, and overall user proficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/ Responsibilities:
● Deliver technical training sessions through live webinars, in-person workshops, and self-paced eLearning formats for both customers and internal team members.
● Partner with Product and Implementation teams to stay current on system updates, new features, and enhancements.
● Lead customer training initiatives during onboarding and implementation, providing hands-on guidance and support to ensure a successful transition.
● Track, analyze, and report on training effectiveness and adoption metrics (e.g., completion rates, knowledge retention, user satisfaction).
● Provide ongoing coaching and support to customers and internal users to reinforce learning and promote best practices.
● Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, documentation, and assessments.
● Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during training sessions and provide timely resolutions or escalate as needed.
● Support internal training efforts to ensure employees are knowledgeable and aligned on product functionality.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
● Strong technical expertise in relevant systems, tools, or technologies, with the ability to demonstrate real-world applications
● Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs, both in-person and virtual
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, concise manner
● Skilled in instructional design, including developing training materials such as manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises
● Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to different learning styles and skill levels
● Strong presentation and public speaking skills with confidence in leading group sessions
● Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and digital training tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, e-learning platforms)
● Ability to assess training effectiveness and provide constructive feedback to learners
● Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training sessions and priorities
● Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot technical issues during training
● High level of patience, adaptability, and interpersonal skills when working with learners of varying abilities
● Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
● Proficient with Google Workspace or similar tools.
Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, IT, or related field.
● Two or more years of proven experience working with core banking systems and a strong background in financial services, particularly within credit union or banking environments.
● Two or more years of experience delivering technical training in a SaaS or financial services setting, with the ability to translate complex system concepts into clear, user-friendly instruction.
Physical Requirements
● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
● Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
