We’re looking for an experienced and discerning full-cycle technical recruiter to help grow our team. This role is for those who view recruiting as a craft and are committed to maintaining an exceptionally high talent bar. You’ll recruit a world-class team by identifying and attracting top-tier talent, uphold rigorous standards in candidate assessments, and craft recruiting and sourcing strategies that resonate with high-caliber talent. This role offers the opportunity to shape Linear's future by scaling an exceptional team.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop innovative sourcing techniques to uncover exceptional (often passive) talent

  • Conduct thorough, nuanced evaluations of candidates' technical abilities and cultural alignment

  • Foster meaningful connections with potential hires, serving as a knowledgeable ambassador for Linear's culture

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements and team dynamics

  • Analyze recruiting metrics with a critical eye, continuously refining our talent acquisition approach

  • While focusing primarily on technical roles, be prepared to recruit for any position within the organization as needed

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, predominantly in-house at startups with a focus on engineering, product, and design roles

  • Must be available to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours (typically 9 AM to 5 PM ET) to recruit candidates located in North America and Europe

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to articulate Linear’s unique value proposition to candidates

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and placing top-percentile engineering talent

  • In-depth understanding of software engineering principles and current technology trends

  • Experience in environments that prioritize engineering excellence (top-tier tech companies, cutting-edge startups)

  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making in the recruiting process

  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining a high talent bar

  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a remote-first setting
