Technical Project Manager - Native

Technical Project Manager – Native Mobile Apps (iOS & Android) We're looking for a hands-on Technical PM to drive delivery of our iOS and Android apps. You'll work embedded with our native mobile team in a fast-paced environment where shipping quickly is critical. We need someone who can build lean, effective processes that enable speed and quality - not slow it down.

What You'll Do ...

Delivery

• Coordinate parallel iOS and Android work streams, managing project deliveries according to company-wide timelines across all platforms as well as independent native projects

• Own end-to-end project delivery workflows, from kick-off sessions and briefing the team to holding QA sessions and signing off releases

• Manage release workflows: release checklists, versioning, store submissions, phased rollouts, feature flags, and experiments

• Drive feature launches across platforms while managing cross-squad dependencies and providing precise, timely updates

Stakeholder Management

• Translate stakeholder needs and product briefs into clear engineering epics and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria

• Keep Product lead informed with data, risks, timelines, and plan adjustments

• Negotiate and redefine scope intelligently when timelines compress

Technical & Operational Skills

• Oversee testing across both apps using TestFlight, Firebase, and sandbox environments

• Help prioritise backlog and technical debt alongside project work that impacts velocity and stability

• Skilled in project management tools (Jira) and how to utilise them effectively

• Skilled with resource management tools and planning techniques

Process Building

• Design and implement lightweight processes that accelerate delivery, not hinder it

• Build workflows fit for purpose - aligned with our velocity and team culture

• Stay flexible and iterate on what works

• Continuously shape and improve ways of working in our Delivery Guild alongside other TPMs

Nice to Haves:

• Confident reading, creating, and acting on data insights, especially with Heap or similar analytics tools

• Comfortable being hands-on with PR reviews, SQL queries, Retool, and AI tools

• Experience setting up dashboards for real-time project visibility

• Familiar with App Store Connect and Google Play Console growth tools

• Experience working with feature flags using LaunchDarkly or similar platforms

Skills and Experience

• A genuine interest in Generative AI: Familiarity with image generation AI technologies and tools such as Automatic1111, ComfyUI or similar open-source platforms.

• Technical Project Management Experience: Proven experience in digital or technical project management, with a track record of managing multiple projects from initiation to launch.

• Leadership and Team Development: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a delivery squad, fostering growth, accountability, and high performance within the squad.

• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of software development processes and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.

• Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining alignment across multiple teams and keeping projects on track with clear expectations.

• Attention to Detail in UX/UI: Knowledge of UX/UI best practices, with an ability to oversee quality in design-related deliverables.

• Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills: Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities, with a focus on proactively identifying and addressing project risks and roadblocks.
