Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Join our Merchant Experience platform team, responsible for managing the Stripe Dashboard, a critical product and platform used by merchants to understand their businesses. As part of a multi-year strategy, our aim is to leverage the Dashboard not just for Payments, but to drive the adoption of a broader range of Stripe products.

However, we recognize that simply connecting various products and pages is inadequate. We're committed to exceeding user expectations by setting higher standards of quality for the Dashboard. Our objective is to create an engaging experience, providing true delight through ongoing usage.

To reinforce our commitment to quality, we are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to establish a user experience governance program. This program will ensure quality and consistency across end-to-end user journeys, improve product interoperability, and provide a feedback mechanism for continuous experience enhancement.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the Merchant Experience sphere, you'll be pivotal in defining, socializing, and stewarding the user experience governance program for changes to the dashboard merchant experience. The program’s goal is to establish and maintain the right strategic direction and a high craft and beauty experience bar. You will drive a centralized body that partners with domain-specific decision-makers to review major changes to the dashboard and input into Dashboard’s 3-year direction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute cross-functional programs across engineering divisions.

  • Manage technically demanding programs, leveraging deep systems and engineering knowledge.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers to enhance operational efficiency within teams.

  • Develop, implement, and refine program management frameworks and metrics for goal achievement.

  • Establish and report on program health and success metrics, using data for strategic decision-making.

  • Standardize documentation and project communication processes for consistency and alignment.

  • Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and reporting at the leadership level.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software/systems engineering or technical product/program management.

  • Passionate about product, systems architecture, quality, reliability, and correctness.

  • Proven track record in comprehensive program management across software development phases.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at building strong relationships.

  • Proficient in driving process improvements across diverse teams and functions.

  • Autonomous leader experienced in managing large-scale efforts and global stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in large-scale platforms and organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading global initiatives, building APIs, products, and scalable systems.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
