We provide the tools and resources to reach your weight management goals. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join the Platform Engineering team. As a member of the MyFitnessPal Platform Engineering team, you will positively impact our users with your expertise in managing and optimizing our engineering platforms.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to define and prioritize technical requirements

  • Develop and manage the internal platform roadmap: Ensure alignment with business goals and maintain a clear, actionable plan

  • Data-driven decisions: Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities and drive prioritized platform enhancements

  • Technical specifications: Translate features into technical specifications for the engineering team

  • Agile leadership: Familiarity with agile ceremonies, maintain the internal product backlog, discover and order dependencies to ensure efficient iteration cycles

  • Drive adoption: Manage an internal go-to-market strategy to raise awareness of new, improved, and changed features

  • Performance monitoring: Monitor platform performance and optimize features to enhance engineer engagement and effectiveness

  • Stakeholder communication: Present platform updates and performance reports to internal stakeholders

Qualifications to be successful in this role: 

  • Experience: 4-6 years as a Product Manager in an Agile environment, preferably in SaaS, data, infrastructure or platform engineering

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience

  • Prior experience or understanding of technical concepts (e.g. multi-tenancy, DORA, SPACE, Reliability, DevEx)

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau), Datadog (or equivalent), Jira, and Confluence

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Collaboration: Experience working with geographically distributed teams

In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
