The ODPO (Office of the Data Protection Officer) is responsible for HubSpot’s Privacy Control Framework and supports the execution of the Privacy Program and duties of the Data Protection Officer throughout the organization. As a Technical Privacy Specialist on the team you’ll play an important role, partnering with teams across HubSpot to dig into some of our most challenging privacy related business problems and leading the efforts to resolve them. You’ll develop controls and monitoring to give us real time information on the health of our Program and work on implementation of industry standard control frameworks. In this role you will:
Support Privacy program operations, including risk and impact assessments, training and governance processes.
Function as a Privacy subject matter expert supporting cross-functional teams with a focus on control implementation and monitoring and reporting.
Develop controls and processes for mitigating Privacy and AI risk across HubSpot.
Operationalize strategic privacy projects by making them efficient, scalable, and reliable.
Identify Privacy program gaps and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations
Develop, define, and report on the program’s health and success metrics via dashboards to provide insights to management on risk and strategic direction.
Operate autonomously leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders across different time zones.
Work on Industry standard Frameworks such as NIST and EU Cloud Code of Conduct.
We are looking for people who have
Direct experience in Privacy, Auditing and working with technical teams.
Experience in data modeling and analysis; working knowledge of SQL and tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Looker or Tableau, etc.
Knowledge of how to use data to influence program strategy and tell compelling stories about organizational effectiveness and impact
Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and control gap analysis.
Ability to deliver and manage high quality detailed technical documentation
Understanding of global security and privacy regulations, certification processes, audit
Ability to communicate information about Privacy risk to a diverse audience
Certifications in Privacy, Security or Auditing preferred.
Cash compensation range: 90400-135600 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
