With continued top-line growth and global expansion, we are looking to fill our newly created Tax Manager position.
Are you looking to join a dynamic and growing tax team that manages the cutting-edge digital economy? The Tax Manager role is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced tax department. The position will have a key responsibility for enabling the tax department to support HubSpot as it grows, streamlining tax processes and implementing exciting new tax technologies. This new role will report into the Head of Tax and support the tax function as it continues being a strong business partner across the Company.
In this role the essential duties and responsibilities will include:
Assist with implementation of ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) to enable accurate, efficient and timely preparation of the quarterly US GAAP and Statutory (IFRS) tax provisions globally. Ensure creation of SEC reporting packages to improve reporting timeline and ease of audits by financial statement auditors.
Enable efficient transition from OTP to ONESOURCE Income Tax (OIT) module and support implementation of US Federal and Local tax compliance and in-house transition to include tax return preparation, as well as extension and estimates filings.
Review and document existing tax provision and tax return preparation processes. Get an in-depth understanding through hands-on experience of existing processes including quarterly provision cycle and updates, computations of book to tax differences, estimated tax payments, and tax accounts reconciliations. Coordinate tax provision workflow with other groups and manage filings of tax returns for selected jurisdictions with local providers where needed.
Work with Tax planning group to understand data needs, data sources and tax technical analysis of major calculations such as Section 174, R&D credits, GILTI, Pillar 2, transfer pricing and Long-Term Modelling to identify automation opportunities.
Assist with operational transfer pricing needs to ensure transfer pricing adjustments are computed efficiently, accurately and timely.
Support the Indirect tax team by review of current systems and processes of preparation and filing of US Sales and Use tax returns, VAT and e-filing requirements.
Identify Technology solutions to improve the tax team’s processes, efficiencies, refinements and implement automation solutions.
Train tax team members to become proficient users of selected technologies.
Assist with foreign tax audits and notices.
Support with special tax projects as they arise.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
Experience in public accounting and/or a U.S. multinational company required
Previous ONESOURCE implementation experience required
Working knowledge of data wrangling tools required (such as Alteryx)
Technology/SaaS experience preferred
Experience with NetSuite preferred or another major ERP required
Willingness to roll-up your sleeves when work needs to get done
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven, self-starter, goal oriented, and someone who can work independently to identify process improvements and drive the team to implement
Strong oral and written skills with excellent communication
Ability to research issues, document conclusions, and communicate findings
Ability to work well with others, including as part of cross-functional teams and locations

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
