About the role:

At Kraken we are building out our world class learning experience for our Krakenites (employees of Kraken) company-wide. Our learning team requires creative people who aren’t afraid to cast aside established ways of doing things to create entirely new, delightful experiences for our internal learning community. Throughout the history of civilization, there have been a handful of moments that changed the course of how we think about wealth and equality. The discovery of gold, the creation of paper money, mortgages, ATMs. We’re at the next of those moments right now, and there is no more exciting place to invest your creativity than directly at this intersection of technology and adventure. 

We are looking for a motivated, passionate and detail-oriented Talent Development Programme Manager to join our team and deliver best in class learning experiences to Krakenites across the world. The crux of this role is design, implementation and facilitation of learning programs. You will have a passion for learning and thrive in delivering meaningful and engaging learning experiences.  The role sits within our Talent & Development function and is part of the Talent Development delivery team, critical to ensuring our people can grow their capability, skills and careers at Kraken. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging and interactive learning sessions on topics that span our business, serve leaders and individual contributors, and build skills across technical and behavioral disciplines.

What You'll Do:

  • Program Design: Develop comprehensive learning and development programs that include curricula, training materials, and delivery methods tailored to meet the identified needs.

  • Content Development & Delivery: Create, organize, and deliver exceptional live, virtual, and async training sessions, workshops, and seminars to employees of all levels, utilizing various instructional techniques to deliver a powerful learner experience across functions and geographies. 

  • Use recognized models (e.g.  ADDIE, Kirkpatrick) to rapidly design, develop and publish engaging content and learning activities. Drive class enrollments and work with partners to meet all training deadlines. Capture and respond to participant feedback, to continually improve content and delivery

  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g. Business Partner, Team Leaders, SMEs, and Executives) to source insight, develop learning objectives and design bespoke global or org-level content.

  • Learning Consultation:Work within functions to collect learning needs and share expertise on adult learning when needed. Bring the expertise when planning, design and delivering learning content. Research and stay educated on training and business fundamentals, concepts, and trends.

  • Learning Technology: Administer your learning programs and  events in our Learning Management System and any other virtual learning platforms to include setup, scheduling, tracking and record keeping. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in learning and development ad seamlessly integrate innovative tools and platforms to enhance training delivery.  

  • Crypto Enthusiasm: Maintain and build an understanding of the company, products and crypto industry

Skills You HODL:

  • Experience of facilitating interactive virtual learning experiences that encourage collaboration & knowledge sharing within a fast paced environment

  • Experience delivering leadership development workshops and learning experiences

  • Experience designing virtual learning workshops that draw upon design best practices.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.

  • Well-developed personal and project management skills

  • High levels of computer literacy

  • An ability to get things done by exercising influence and gaining buy in to new initiatives

  • Strong networker, able to build relationships with people at all levels across the business.

  • Strong client obsession - you are skilled at understanding client needs and designing rich learning content that meets the needs of your learners and their context.

  • Able to work well independently, and within a team environment, and possessing an aptitude to overcome barriers, multitask, and deliver in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experienced with managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

  • Actively aligned with the values and ethos of Kraken, Crypto & Decentralised Finance.

Nice To Have:

  • Relevant qualification desirable but not essential (whether post-graduate degree, CIPD accreditation or formal Teaching qualification).

  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training software.

  • Skills related to psychometrics and coaching would be of interest.  

  • Design skills or qualifications

  • Project management skills

  • Experience at early-stage/ fast-growing tech startup.

  • Due to a requirement to support virtual and, potentially, in-person workshops across North American time zones, candidates based in this region would be desirable.
