The Green Technology Group, LLC (TGTG)is seeking a System Administrator, to support our Guest Wireless Service delivery program for Federal and Commercial Markets. Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities Role Overview: The System Administrator will be responsible for the Guest Wi-Fi systems installation, specification determination, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration. The System Administrator shall possess strong computer and organization skills, be proficient in the technical aspects of wireless network installation and maintenance, establish solid customer relationships, timely submit error-free deliverables, and apply great attention to detail with the ability to be consistent from project to project. The System Administrator is responsible for the effective management of all components of the Guest Wi-Fi networks and keeping the Project Manager and customers aware of issues and resolution timelines that will impact timely project completion or cost, and pro-actively seek to identify and communicate any system, schedule, and budget risks. Responsibilities:

  • Support IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all activities, including planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of multiple actions are effectively and efficiently coordinated and completed on time within budget and in accordance with the underlying contract

  • Travel to support on-site installation of network hardware, conduct testing, adjust configurations, produce heat maps, complete surveys, and update documentation, as needed

  • Answer incoming customer support calls, triage and resolve issues, and record actions

  • Troubleshoot associated hardware/software remotely and on-site, as needed

  • Create, track, and resolve service desk action items

  • Maintain the security and stability of the network solutions

  • Actively participate in internal and external project meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each action and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely resolution

  • Produce detailed technical project documentation, meeting materials, analysis, graphics, benchmark information, and reports

  • Create and maintain network documentation, hardware inventories, status reports KPIs and metrics data, and other documentation as required

  • Be an effective communicator with clients, senior management, and team

  • Participate in proposal response preparation and review cycles, as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of in operations and maintenance of systems and networks

  • 3-5 years of experience with installing, monitoring, and maintaining wireless networks

  • Bachelors degree (or equal experience)

  • Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements

  • Ability to understand and simplify customer requirements

  • Ability to communicate end user feedback to technical and design leads

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven knowledge of industry standards

  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 25% per year

  • Ability to obtain and maintain at minimum public trust government clearance

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications preferred: CCNA; CCNE; MSFT Engineer; CompTIA+; CISSP; or similar

  • Knowledge of DoD and/or Veteran environment

  • Government Policies and Procedures related to IT implementation (NIST 800-171)

  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment

  • Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail

  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings

  • Customer service experience with a strong problem-solving approach
