The Senior Vice President of Demand Generation will play a critical role in shaping Ping Identity's growth trajectory by owning the strategy for overall demand generation worldwide. Leveraging your deep understanding of the technology landscape, you'll lead a high-performing team of demand generation leaders across global campaign management, digital and event marketing, channel marketing, and account-based marketing (ABM) to drive Ping’s pipeline generation engine. The position will closely collaborate closely with regional sales and go-to-market teams to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Demand Generation Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive global demand generation strategy aligned with Ping Identity's business objectives and revenue targets.
Own the unified strategies & execution across multiple channels of demand generation - field marketing, channel marketing, and digital marketing.
Influence & partner on campaign strategy and design. Own global campaign execution in the field.
Drive innovative demand generation strategies such as ABM.
Oversee all aspects of the demand generation funnel, from lead generation to qualification and pipeline creation.
Engage in customer expansion motions by developing programs aligned with the customer lifecycle, generating pipeline and creating interest
Pipeline Ownership:
Take ownership of the overarching pipeline number for Ping Identity, continuously optimizing demand generation programs to maximize pipeline velocity and conversion rates.
Align pipeline generation to the go-to-market ICP, as well as the field sales account segmentation and ARR goals to develop a pipeline generation machine
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with regional sales and go-to-market leadership teams to understand market dynamics and customer needs, becoming a strategic partner in driving revenue growth.
Partner with key pipeline driving leaders from the sales development & channels / alliances function to drive a unified demand generation strategy.
Collaborate with other marketing functions, such as Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing and Marketing Operations, to leverage expertise and resources from their Centers of Excellence to execute in the field to drive in demand and pipeline generation.
Data-Driven Leadership
In partnership with marketing and sales operations, maniacally review and analyze pipeline data to constantly understand what is working and not working.
Continuously optimize for high performance, efficiencies, and scale.
Regularly report on key metrics to Ping leadership, as well as Ping’s Board of Directors.
Utilize core marketing & sales tools for data insights and reporting (ie. CRM, Marketo, intent data platforms, Tableau, etc)
Manage and optimize the global demand generation marketing budget across both programs and headcount spend, to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI)
Team Leadership:
Enable & empower geo-aligned senior demand generation leaders to align global strategies and campaigns to localized sales and market needs
Lead and inspire a diverse team of marketing leaders and professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven track record (10+ years) of success in demand generation leadership roles within the enterprise/larger enterprise tech industry
Deep experience in the multi-pronged demand generation functions (field, channel, digital, campaign)
Global leadership experience with a deep understanding of different geographic requirements and go-to-market strategies
Strong expertise with marketing and sales data and reporting tools
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and make data-driven decisions.
High sense of urgency and drive for continuous improvement
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel to demand generation events & go-to-market events as required
Base Hiring Range: $230,000 - $268,000 + Bonus
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
