Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The recently reorganized Product Operations team works across all Product teams at Stripe to ensure our product development and delivery processes are optimized and set up to deliver the highest quality products for all our users. The team helps to align go-to-market (GTM) and Product across various business verticals, and lead critical, cross-functional programs.

Our team’s mission is to enable efficient, user-centered product development at scale. We create, manage, and improve the central programs across Stripe that help us manage tensions as a growing tech company, from aggregating user feedback, to planning, to establishing launch processes, and helping create frameworks for strategic resource allocation.

Our programs facilitate cross-team information sharing throughout the development life cycle. We have a particular focus in ensuring that GTM and Product teams are tightly aligned in how we win users today and plan for the future.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for building and optimizing an end to end vertical program that enables product development and delivery on a global scale. You’ll work closely with Product, Operations, and Revenue generating teams across Stripe to deliver strategic projects and program improvement.

The successful candidate has experience leading large-scale highly cross-functional programs or products spanning product and operations/sales, is able to distill complexity into clarity, and drives impact and velocity across teams. They have had experience working in or closely with Product, and have had experience owning a business vertical or a full stack program where they are the ones ultimately responsible for the outcome metrics.

They are curious, driven, focused, and detail-oriented, able to influence without authority, relentless in driving to closure, and able to build strong relationships. They thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. They are strategic, able to see the big picture and business context, and able to find creative solutions as a result.

Responsibilities

  • Create systems to capture, prioritize and track user requirements.

  • Design and run complex processes across product and operational teams.

  • Continuously examine, experiment, and implement measured improvements to our operational model and processes (e.g. automating tasks, improving workflows, developing repeatable methodologies).

  • Facilitate project/program retrospectives and then implement the changes needed.

  • Build with a mindset of scale and flexibility for all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with other teams to help them execute on important strategic initiatives or drive

  • operational scale and efficiency.

  • Build and communicate out bi-weekly program efficacy and efficiency metrics to leadership and partnering Orgs.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in similar or related technology roles, ideally in a multiproduct or platform company.

  • Significant experience working with cross-functional stakeholders on projects with both depth and breadth in their complexity.

  • You enjoy bringing an ownership mentality and doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects.

  • You have a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners.

  • You are an “operator” and have a process-oriented mindset and ability to influence people to get things done.

  • You have clear experience building and executing programs from scratch and measuring their impact.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and use them to effectively roll out large scale programs.

  • You have an analytical mindset to bring the data to trade-offs discussions and build the correct metrics to measure your program's success.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams around the organization

  • Strong project-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects in a highly demanding environment

  • An extremely responsive and collaborative team-player mentality

  • Excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to handle time-sensitive work

  • Experience on a wide variety of projects, learned new things, and directed your own work from day to day

  • 2+ years of Product Management experience or consulting experience at a top tier management consulting firm

  • P&L experience or experience owning a business vertical

  • Experience at a company with a global user base

  • Experience at a company with a multi-user strategy (enterprise, SMB, self serve) and multi-product

  • Experience at a company during the its scale phase
