We are looking for an experienced Freelance Brand Strategist who specializes in brand strategy, positioning, market research, and business communications. In this role, you will create comprehensive marketing plans for our clients, develop B2B promotions, monitor trends, and lead idea generation sessions to uncover innovative marketing initiatives and compelling brand stories.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute brand strategies and positioning plans based on thorough research and data analysis.
Create full-scale marketing plans and performance-based promotions for B2B clients.
Lead client workshops to clarify brand challenges, identify key issues, and align cross-functional teams.
Analyze and interpret data to uncover insights that shape brand narratives and marketing initiatives.
Work closely with clients to define clear, emotionally engaging brand stories that resonate with their target audiences.
Provide strategic counsel to executive-level clients on solving brand and customer challenges.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in brand strategy and execution, ideally in brand consulting or a corporate identity consulting firm.
Expertise in the full brand development process, from discovery to platform development and implementation.
Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, or Keynote.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
Strong experience in digital strategy, CRM, and campaign planning.
Ability to create compelling presentations and clearly communicate ideas.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with human-centered design principles and buyer’s journey mapping.
Preferred:
Previous experience as an agency strategist.
Experience managing product life cycles and go-to-market campaigns in digital environments.
Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Experience in creating innovative user experiences and sustainable brand solutions.
TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT:
Full-time contractor on a retainer
100% remote work
Compensation in USD
Must be available to work Monday to Friday, CDT hours
