Stock Plan Administrator
Scopely is looking for a highly detail-oriented Stock Plan Administrator to join our Compensation Team on a remote basis in the United States. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing equity compensation programs in both private and public companies, with demonstrated expertise in Shareworks or similar equity management platforms. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our uniquely complex long term incentive plan and plays a key part in driving employee understanding and engagement with our equity compensation programs.

What You Will Do
Equity Plan Administration
Administer and manage all aspects of employee equity compensation programs, including stock options, and other equity awards.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of equity grants, exercises, and vesting events.
Maintain and update participant records in the equity administration system.
Coordinate and manage stock option exercise transactions, including ensuring proper tax withholding, reporting, and communication with employees.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure equity plans are administered in accordance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, including IRS and SEC rules.
Prepare and file necessary reports for internal and external stakeholders, including tax filings.
Work with legal and finance teams to ensure the company’s compliance with local and international laws related to equity compensation.
Communication & Employee Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding equity compensation plans.
Provide clear and timely communication about plan details, tax implications, and process changes.
Educate employees about their equity awards, tax consequences, and the exercise process.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding their stock plans and resolve issues related to equity transactions.
System Management
Administer the equity plan management software/system, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
Perform system audits and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies.
Assist in the integration of any new systems, ensuring smooth implementation and transition.
Plan Reporting & Analysis
Generate regular reports on stock plan activity, grants, exercises, vesting, and forfeitures for finance, accounting, and legal teams.
Collaborate with finance and accounting to reconcile stock plan activity with the company’s financial records.
Assist with the valuation process for stock options, including calculating and tracking the fair value of equity awards.
Plan Design and Improvement
Support the design and implementation of new equity programs or modifications to existing plans.
Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements to the company’s stock plan offerings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with People, Finance, Legal, and Tax teams to ensure seamless execution of stock plan events and compliance with internal processes and regulations.
Participate in audits and external reviews of equity compensation programs.
What We’re Looking For
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and exceptional proactive problem solving ability
Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Highly motivated and a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
Proficient in managing and administering third party stock plan platform, Shareworks preferred
Outstanding communicator, both written and verbal
Advanced organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast paced environment
Strong knowledge of equity compensation plan types, tax rules, and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with U.S. and international tax and legal implications of stock-based compensation
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in stock plan administration or equity compensation
