We’re looking for a qualitative researcher who has deep experience working in trust and safety, specifically in the space of teen safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate is an experienced researcher with a specialized toolkit of methods for working with youth and navigating sensitive topics in the trust and safety domain.
What you’ll do
Prioritize and conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodologies across multiple work streams, making sure to work on the right project at the right time
Select and communicate the appropriate method or mix of methods (ranging from usability testing, diary studies, semi-structured interviews, participatory workshops, and everything in between)
Develop and execute a comprehensive research agenda focused on teen trust, safety, and wellbeing
Build strong relationships as a strategic partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics & Data Science, Legal, Policy, and other cross-functionals to identify high impact work and ensure it lands within teams

What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience conducting end-to-end consumer product research as part of cross-functional teams
Experience conducting research with teens, particularly in the context of digital products
Broad and deep methodological toolbox, with particular expertise in approaches that center the participant experience and safety, and facilitate conversation around potentially sensitive topics, such as trauma-informed research and participatory action research
Ability to toggle between owning and executing end-to-end research and leveraging insights to shape strategy and influence decision making with senior leaders
A strong demonstrated understanding of the legal and ethical considerations in research practice, particularly in working with teens. Experience navigating the laws and regulations that govern research with teens and online privacy and safety
