Apply for this position

Consensys is the leading blockchain and web3 software company founded by Joe Lubin, CEO of Consensys and Co-Founder of Ethereum. Since 2014, Consensys has been at the forefront of innovation, pioneering technological developments within the web3 ecosystem.

Through our product suite, including the MetaMask platform, Infura, Linea, Diligence, and our NFT toolkit Phosphor, we have become the trusted collaborator for users, creators, and developers on their path to build and belong in the world they want to see.

Whether building a dapp, an NFT collection, a portfolio, or a better future, the instinct to build is universal. Consensys inspires and champions the builder instinct in everyone by making web3 universally easy to use and develop on.

Our mission is to unlock the collaborative power of communities by making the decentralized web universally easy to access, use, and build on.

You’ll get to work on the tools, infrastructure, and apps that scale these platforms to onboard one billion participants and 5 million developers. You’ll be constantly exposed to new concepts, ideas, and frameworks from your peers, and as you work on different projects — challenging you to stay at the top of your game. You’ll join a network of builders that reaches the edge of our ecosystem. Consensys alumni have moved on to become tech entrepreneurs, CEOs, and team leads at tech companies.

About MetaMask

MetaMask is the world’s leading self-custodial wallet, helping tens of millions of people discover and use web3. The Trade swimlane is where users go to do things with their assets – swapping, bridging, trading perps, and soon: betting on sports through on-chain prediction markets.

We’re building a new Sports vertical under Trade, focused on sports betting as a subset of prediction markets. Our ambition is to create a sports experience that feels instantly familiar to Web2 sportsbook users—but powered by open, composable, global infrastructure.

We’re looking for a Senior / Staff Product Manager to lead this Sports vertical end-to-end.

You will own the Sports product within Trade: from strategy to UX to execution. You’ll translate the language of sportsbooks—moneyline, spread, totals, props, parlays, futures—into a product that sports fans love and that showcases the strengths of web3 prediction markets.

You’ll work closely with:

  • Engineering (client + backend + infra)

  • Design (sports UX, onboarding, market views, slips)

  • Data & research

  • External sports consultants and partners

Your job is to make MetaMask the most compelling on-chain destination for sports fans who today live on DraftKings, FanDuel, Polymarket, Kalshi, and traditional sportsbooks.

This is a high-ownership, high-leverage role: you’ll shape a net-new product pillar in one of the most widely used apps in web3.

What you’ll do

Own the Sports product vision & strategy

  • Define the north star for sports within MetaMask Trade: target users, core use cases, and product thesis (why on-chain, why prediction markets, why MetaMask).

  • Map the competitive landscape across Web2 sportsbooks and Web3 prediction markets; identify where we should be familiar vs. where we should be different.

  • Build a clear multi-phase roadmap that gets us from v0 → v1 → scaled product, with explicit tradeoffs and milestones.

Design a sportsbook-native UX for web3

  • Work with design to create intuitive sports flows:

    • League and event discovery (NFL, NBA, MLB, global football/soccer, F1, etc.).

    • Market displays (moneyline, spread, totals, props, parlays) that feel native to bettors.

    • Bet slip, confirmation, live updates, history, and cash-like UX expectations.

  • Make sure the experience is welcoming for Web2 sports fans who may be new to wallets, gas, and on-chain concepts, without dumbing down the product for degens.

Drive acquisition, engagement, and retention

  • Define the funnel for sports:

    • From existing MetaMask users discovering sports

    • To net-new sports users being onboarded into MetaMask

  • Partner with PMM and Growth to design campaigns, promotions, and retention loops (e.g., seasonal events, big tournaments, ongoing incentives—within regulatory and policy guardrails).

  • Instrument the product with clear metrics (active bettors, handle, repeat usage, retention, unit economics) and run experiments to improve them.

Collaborate deeply with engineering & sports experts

  • Work with engineering to define:

    • How markets are created, updated, and settled

    • Performance and reliability expectations for odds, market states, and settlement flows

  • Translate discussions with sports consultants, quants, and traders into product requirements (market types, minimum/maximums, parlay logic, edge-case handling).

  • Ensure the product is designed with compliance, risk, and user protection in mind (in partnership with Legal/Compliance).

Execute with rigor

  • Run end-to-end product cycles: discovery → spec → design → implementation → testing → launch → learn.

  • Define and enforce a clear Definition of Done for Sports features:

    • Edge cases in odds display, settlement, cancel/void rules, and bet slips

    • Performance and reliability thresholds for live events

    • Telemetry and alerting for critical failures

Lead post-mortems when incidents happen; turn them into durable improvements in process, tooling, and UX.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

  • 6–10+ years of product management experience, including:

    • Ownership of a core, revenue-impacting surface (not just side features).

  • Direct experience in at least one of:

    • Sportsbook / sports betting products (DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, etc.), or

    • Prediction markets / event-based markets (Polymarket, Kalshi, etc.).

  • Deep, practical understanding of:

    • Sports betting mechanics: bet types, odds formats, settlement rules, edge cases.

    • Sports fan behavior: how and when people bet, what they care about, how they evaluate trust and value.

  • Proven track record of:

    • Shipping impactful features end-to-end with measurable results.

    • Collaborating tightly with engineering and design on complex UX and system behavior.

  • Strong analytical skills:

    • Comfortable defining KPIs, reading dashboards, and running experiments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can explain complex flows simply to engineers, executives, and external partners.

Nice-to-have

  • Web3 / crypto experience:

    • Prior work with wallets, DeFi, on-chain data, or prediction markets.

    • Familiarity with self-custody concepts and on-chain UX constraints.

  • Experience working with:

    • Market makers, trading teams, or quants.

    • Regulated or semi-regulated financial/sports products.

Previous role at a high-growth consumer product where you shipped rapidly while maintaining quality.

We’re passionate about building a diverse team of humans and as such, if you think you've got what it takes for our chaotic-but-fun, remote-friendly, start-up environment—apply anyway, detailing your relevant transferable skills in your cover letter. While we have a pretty good idea of what we need, we're ready for you to challenge our thinking on who needs to be in this role.
