We are looking for a 10x staff engineer with a focus on the backend to help us continue scaling the team and the product. You will get to solve interesting problems and technical challenges. Competencies

• Be a 10x engineer looking to do great work.

• Experience building and designing high scale and high availability systems, including a deep understanding of infrastructure, databases, and common backend patterns.

• Excellent technical, architectural (system design), diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.

• Have a great taste in software and API design, with great instincts for what great looks like.

• Be a clear communicator that is great to work with.

• Have strong leadership and organizational abilities.

• Be obsessed with shipping and high engineering velocity, while maintaining high stability.

• Having previously worked as a staff engineer, tech lead, or a similar role.

• Experience with the technologies we use in the backend and infrastructure such as: Rust, Postgres, Redis, and Terraform.

• Bonus:

  • Rust experience (if lacking, an ability to quickly ramp up is required)

  • Frontend experience

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $190,000 - $210,000*

*These figures represent the range for candidates based in NYC, where we are headquartered. Salary will differ based on geographic location and is also based on skills, experience, etc.
