Staff Accountant
The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to help support the finance vertical at Grow Therapy. You will own accounting workstreams such as our revenue, accounts receivable, payroll, and AP processes and assist with driving process improvements. You’ll be working closely with our Senior Manager of Accounting, Senior Accountant, and Strategic Finance team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Own core accounting processes, including Revenue and Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
Execute and support month-end close activities, including preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger activity to support internal reporting and decision-making.
Support financial audits and tax compliance, and provide necessary documentation and support.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives and ensure accounting processes scale effectively with the business.
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.
You’ll Be a Good Fit If:
You have 2-5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, consulting, or high-growth startup environments; prior Big 4 experience is a plus.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a solid working knowledge of GAAP.
You ideally have experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and/or healthcare industry experience
You have strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze data accurately and efficiently.
You have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
You have a team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on ad hoc projects as needed.
CPA track strongly preferred.
Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt Base Compensation: Hybrid Commitment- $91,000 - $102,000 USD Fully Remote Commitment- $76,000- $85,000 USD
This role can be hybrid (onsite from our NYC location three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or fully remote, with ET/CT hours preferred. Both arrangements include travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).
The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
