Sr. Strategy & Operations Lead
The Global Content & Operations (GC&O) team is looking for a Senior Strategy & Operations Lead to drive some of our most important cross-functional initiatives. In this high-impact IC role, you’ll partner directly with GC&O and cross-company leaders to shape strategy, build the operating model, and ensure we’re executing efficiently against our biggest content and creator bets.
You’ll own a portfolio of strategic and operational programs—from defining and structuring problems, to turning them into actionable recommendations and helping drive their execution —that increase engagement, monetization, and effectiveness across our global content ecosystem. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the weeds of data and in the room with executives, and knows how to translate insight into action.
What you’ll do
Work directly with key Global Content & Operations leaders on critical initiatives designed to grow the creator ecosystem, team productivity and operational efficiency.
Work with and influence cross-functional teams including Analytics, Product, Finance, Sales and Business Operations.
Lead strategic problem solving for priority questions by structuring ambiguous problems, developing clear hypotheses, scoping required analyses, and turning them into actionable recommendations that shape priorities for the content and creator ecosystem.
Develop executive-ready narratives that synthesize complex data, market dynamics, and internal signals into clear, compelling stories used in strategy and alignment reviews with senior stakeholders.
Operates as a strategic thought partner to leadership, helping shape what Pinterest should build, accelerate, or rethink to unlock engagement growth
Own data analysis required for strategy development, including gathering and pulling data across sources with basic SQ, to ensure clarity, accuracy, and depth in your strategic analyses (this is not a data science role, but self-serve comfort is required)
Leverage insights from key business drivers, trends and operating metrics, and communicate recommendations to GC&O leadership and the broader organization.
Proactively identify and redefine opportunities that improve and scale our business (e.g. processes, systems, operational improvements).
What we’re looking for
10+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or equivalent roles in technology/media.
Experience in content, media, or the creator ecosystem, with familiarity across content, product + monetization.
Demonstrated structured problem solving - including framing ambiguous questions, developing hypotheses, design analyses, and translating them into actionable recommendations.
Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end—from problem definition and analysis to decision-making and execution.
Exceptional narrative storytelling and communication skills; able to synthesize complex data and ambiguous signals into crisp executive ready narratives that drive alignment.
Experience influencing without authority across multiple XFN functions (including Partnerships, Editorial, Product, Biz Ops).
Organized, detail-oriented and strategically focused, with a bias for action
Strong analytical skills - familiarity with SQL and independently querying and structuring data required, Tableau and Salesforce preferred.
