Why this role matters:

As Vonage grows its business across its core product offerings, we need to ensure that our privacy requirements are up to scale with our ambitions. This role will minimize privacy risks across our business by ensuring that the controls are implemented across our products, by providing world class strategic, operational, policy and other privacy support; and by identifying privacy related strategic opportunities in support of our business objectives.

What you will do: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Privacy Manager to join our telecommunications company and lead our privacy efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all privacy laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive privacy policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities: 1. **Policy Development:** Develop and maintain comprehensive privacy policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices. 2. **Compliance Oversight:** Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks. 3. **Risk Assessment:** Conduct regular privacy risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of risk and implement measures to mitigate those risks. 4. **Training and Awareness:** Develop and deliver privacy training programs to employees to ensure awareness and understanding of privacy policies and procedures. 5. **Privacy Impact Assessments:** Conduct privacy impact assessments for new products, services, and initiatives to identify and address potential privacy risks. 6. **Data Subject Requests:** Manage and respond to data subject access requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses in accordance with legal requirements. 7. **Vendor Management:** Evaluate the privacy practices of third-party vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the company's privacy standards. 8. **Incident Response:** Develop and oversee incident response procedures for privacy breaches, including investigation, notification, and remediation. 9. **Privacy by Design:** Work closely with product and engineering teams to incorporate privacy principles into the design and development of products and services. 10. **Regulatory Liaison:** Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities on privacy matters, including responding to inquiries and participating in regulatory investigations.

What is Required: - Bachelors degree in law, business, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in privacy compliance, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

- In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate privacy risks. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) preferred.
