We're looking for an exceptional operational manager to lead our Trust and Safety Risk and Response team. This crucial role will be an integral part of our Enforcement Ops organization, leading teams responsible for Privacy regulation compliance, Law enforcement response, Government removal requests, and Internal escalations. This role will require alignment and engagement with various internal stakeholders, including Sales, Executives, Legal, Comms, Product and Data Science. We are looking for a leader with deep subject matter experience that can develop priorities, project resourcing needs and identify the capabilities necessary to support the evolving operational needs.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional decision quality and the ability to derive valuable insights from complex situations. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our operational processes, striking a delicate balance between addressing urgent matters, conducting thorough investigations, and preventing issues via risk management.
What you'll do:
Guide, coach, and mentor managers of the Escalations and Data Protection and Critical Response teams.
Track and drive performance and results for the Risk and Response team.
Collaborate with other teams in Trust and Safety to guarantee smooth workflow processes.
Develop priorities driven by the Enforcement Operations org strategy.
Project resourcing needs based on Trust and Safety priorities and identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging talent needs of the team.
Seamlessly perform operations, deliver timely SLAs, and maintain high stakeholder satisfaction.
Manage sensitive content and escalations with tact and composure. Communicate executive summaries to senior leaders.
Share rotating weekend, off-hour, and holiday coverage responsibilities.
Develop subject matter expertise in all Pinterest policies. Make decisions in nuanced cases and influence others to take action.
Gather data to communicate facts and make informed decisions.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills; confidently interact with senior stakeholders from various disciplines.
What we’re looking for:
At least 5 years of experience in an operational management role.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of online safety and content moderation best practices.
