You and your team will manage revenue recognition, ensuring accurate statements, consistent interpretation, and adherence to company and ASC 606 policies. Not only will you support operations of revenue transitions, but also create internal reporting for leadership.
Why it’s a big deal…
The Revenue Accounting team is essential in providing insights and driving processes that impact Conga. You’ll support in setting internal controls and processes for revenue. You’ll collaborate across a variety of teams (legal, sales operations, finance, sales, etc.) to ensure policies are being followed and provide guidance around all things revenue.
Are you the person we’re looking for?
Related experience. You’ve worked in accounting for 6+ years with a combination of Big 4 and industry at a SaaS company. Either way, you have a strong understanding of accounting principles and know how to solve problems as they arise. You have experience with ASC 606 policies and supporting month- and quarter-end close processes following set policies, while establishing a track record of process improvements and automation. Your experience in public accounting gives you the skills to look at revenue and related accounts with professional skepticism.
Tools and systems. You’re well versed in Excel – you know your way around complex data sets but you also know how to find solutions when you don’t know how to do something. You’ve also had experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce.
Education and training. You’ve successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting and have obtained your CPA. Maybe you’ve gone on to complete a master’s degree and/or additional certification.
Clear, deliberate, and collaborative communicator. You don’t just engage in collaborative discussions, you initiate them regularly. You are clear and concise when you speak and write -- and even creative in terms of ensuring your messages are received and understood. You leave no room for assumptions or misunderstanding. It’s what sets you apart from the rest.
Here’s what will give you an edge…
Resourceful and collaborative. At Conga, we achieve together-- when you have questions, you find answers; when you’re faced with challenges, you find solutions. You’re comfortable finding and solving problems, independently and collaboratively to get the job done. More than that, you apply that knowledge across the business where it makes sense and share information with your team.
Adaptable. You’re cool as a cucumber under pressure and thrive in a dynamic environment. You know how to stay organized, manage priorities, and support your colleagues as deadlines and initiatives change.
Organized and detailed. You’re organized and stay on top of your responsibilities. Whether it’s managing project milestones or month-end process, you make sure your deadlines are being met and all of the details are accurate.
