The opportunity
As Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics, you’ll be the architect of Breakout Prop’s marketing data ecosystem. You’ll build the tracking infrastructure, reporting frameworks, and analytical foundation that turn marketing data into insight — and insight into action. This is a unique opportunity to design a world-class analytics function from the ground up, in a company where growth and precision go hand in hand.
Build the foundation: Design and implement a reliable, scalable marketing data infrastructure, ensuring accurate tagging, attribution, and data flow across channels.
Implement tracking systems: Own and optimize tools like Google Tag Manager, Segment, or Tealium to ensure end-to-end visibility of the user journey.
Develop dashboards & reporting: Create intuitive, automated dashboards and visualizations in platforms like Tableau, Looker, or Periscope to surface insights for executives and cross-functional teams.
Analyze and interpret performance: Lead analyses that uncover drivers of acquisition, activation, retention, and LTV. Provide actionable recommendations that improve marketing efficiency and revenue.
Investigate data abnormalities: When the data doesn’t come back as expected, you proactively investigate so that by the time leadership see it, there is an explanation or a hypothesis to chase.
Model and forecast: Build and refine attribution models, cohort conversion studies, CLTV frameworks, and response models to guide growth decisions.
Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Growth Marketing, Product, and Finance to ensure a single source of truth for marketing performance.
Champion data culture: Establish best practices for data governance, measurement frameworks, and experimentation standards across the marketing organization.
Skills you should HODL
5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, ideally in a growth-stage or digital-first company.
Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with deep fluency in interpreting marketing and growth data.
Expert knowledge of digital marketing analytics — attribution models, CLTV modeling, response modeling, and cohort analysis.
Intermediate SQL skills and proficiency in at least one major BI platform (Tableau, Looker, or Periscope).
Advanced experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Heap, and tag management platforms (Google Tag Manager, Segment, or Tealium).
Strong understanding of paid media, web analytics, and user journey tracking.
Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
A systems thinker who thrives in startup environments — you enjoy building structure where none exists yet.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for the crypto ecosystem — comfort navigating an evolving, data-rich but fast-changing market.
This job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline.
Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.
We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives. We hire strictly based on merit, meaning we seek out the candidates with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills considered the most suitable for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgable about crypto!
