Sr. Engineer - Google SecOps
This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.
This Sr. GoogleSecOpsEngineerwill bededicated to onboarding and maintaining GoogleSecOpsenvironments, in support of Optiv AFC clients.
TheSr. GoogleSecOpsEngineerworks in Optiv Security’s 24x7x365 Security Operations Center as a member of theAdvanced Fusion Center (AFC) team. TheSr.Engineerwill beresponsiblefor creation of procedures, implementation of processes and solutions across internal and clientenvironments. Experiencewith SIEM/SOAR or MDR products is necessary. TheSr.Engineerwill work closely with otherEngineers, SeniorEngineers, Solution Architects, and clients to completehigh profile, critical services toexisting AFC clients
How you'll makean impact
Serveas a primary responder for AFC customer systems, taking ownership of client configuration issues and tracking through resolution.
Act as a point ofescalation for junior levelEngineers and provideguidanceand mentoring.
Advisebest practiceon SIEM/MDR/SOAR products to both technical and relatively non-technical personnel.
Provideremoteconsulting services via interactiveclient sessions to assist with implementation of multipleproduct vendors and technologies.
Implement and configureSIEM/MDR/SOAR softwareand appliance-based products in largeenterpriseand Governmentenvironments.
Develop and maintain security content and reporting.
Perform knowledgetransfers to clients regarding security and system configuration awareness.
What we'rehiring for
4-7 years professionalexperiencemaintaining SIEM or infrastructuresystems in theInformation Security field.
Minimum 18-months hands-onexperiencein GoogleSec Ops.
Collegedegreeorequivalent training withexperienceworking in a Security Operations Center, Managed Security, or client networkenvironment.
Understanding of network architectureand implementation is a must; ideal candidatewill haveworked with network security analysis.
Excellent timemanagement, reporting, and communication skills.
Superior IT problem-solving skills.
Experiencewith SIEM content and reporting.
Experienceworking with Linux OS.
Experiencewriting/developing scripts (e.g. python, bash, ruby,powershell)
Experienceworking with Internal and client Ticketing and KnowledgeBaseSystems for Incident and Problem tracking as well as procedures. (i.e. Jira, Confluence,etc.).
Experiencewith various SIEM security products such as:Exabeam, Chronicle, Sentinel, LogRhythm, QRadar, Splunk, and infrastructurecomponents such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLPetc.
General security knowledge(GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +, or other security certifications).
Knowledgeof Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
An understanding of a widearray of server gradeapplications such as: DBMS,Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, ActiveDirectory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others.
Training andexperiencein oneor morenon-SIEM network security products to include:Enterpriseendpoint security products, Network components such as Firewalls and Proxies to includePalo Alto / Checkpoint / Juniper / McAfee/ Cisco / BlueCoat / Imperva or other similar network security products.
CCNA, CCDA, CCSA, CCIE, CISSP, CEH, or MCSE.
Familiarity with DevOps
Professionalexperienceworking with networks and network architecture.
Ability to participatein on-call support
Demonstratedexperienceand success in a Managed Serviceclientenvironment
Ability to work greater than 40 hours per week as needed
