As a Sr. Engagement Manager at Hakkōda you will both lead client engagements and own the vision for Hakkoda’s Delivery Methodology. You will lead the day to day execution of client projects while guiding and developing individual team members on your team. You’ll work directly with clients – usually remotely – and you’ll take ownership of the overall project and its end products. You will have the opportunity to build on your proven leadership skills and leverage your interest in inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership. You’d be joining a team of passionate, forward thinking engineers and data scientists who are charting a new course. In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also operate autonomously with little direction. Your superior problem solving, analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful client projects and team performance. Key Responsibilities:

Scrum Master Role:

- Serve as a servant leader for one or more Agile teams involved in data migration projects.

- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Remove impediments and ensure the team has everything they need to meet sprint objectives.

- Shield the team from external distractions and influences to maintain focus and productivity.

Project Management:

- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and define project goals.

- Track project progress, monitor key metrics, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

- Manage risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Team Collaboration:

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment conducive to creativity and innovation.

- Encourage open communication, transparency, and constructive feedback among team members.

- Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement:

- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.

- Conduct retrospective meetings to reflect on past sprints and identify areas for improvement.

- Implement Agile best practices and frameworks to optimize project delivery and team performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree a MUST (preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field).

- 8+ years of experience managing technical projects.

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.

- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in data migration or related IT projects.

- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.

- Analytical thinking and detail oriented mentality.

- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Mondays.com) and Agile collaboration platforms.

Required Soft Skills:

- Excellent in oral and written communication.

- Strong leadership and conflict management resolution.

- Scope Management.

- Ownership / Accountability.

- Proactive and Assertiveness (firm but measured).

- Ability to be flexible and work effectively in an ambiguous and, at times, demanding, environment.
