Role Overview:
This role will lead how CitySwift engages with transport authorities, helping position our platform as a strategic solution for network planning, performance management, service improvement and policy outcomes.
You will bring deep expertise in public transport planning and authority-led transport governance, enabling CitySwift to better understand the priorities, challenges and decision-making processes of transport authorities across diverse markets.
Working closely with Sales, Partner Management and Product, you will act as the authority subject matter expert, helping shape market strategy, support strategic opportunities, influence product direction, and ensure CitySwift's solutions align with the evolving needs of public transport authorities.
You will play a key role in strengthening CitySwift's position within the authority market, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and helping expand our presence across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CitySwift's engagement strategy with transport authorities
- Act as a subject matter expert on authority priorities, including network planning, service performance, franchising, procurement, decarbonisation, accessibility and passenger outcomes
- Partner with Sales and Partner Management on strategic authority opportunities, acting as the authority subject matter expert throughout the pre-sales process. Lead authority-focused discovery, solution design, value articulation, and business case development, helping to create compelling value propositions that address customer needs and support successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across transport authorities, government bodies, and regional transport agencies
- Serve as the primary authority solution expert throughout intricate sales cycles, procurement workflows, and strategic client engagements.
- Lead technical data discovery with prospective authority clients, assessing their data sources, quality, integration requirements and readiness
- Work closely with Product to ensure authority requirements, market trends and regulatory developments are reflected in product strategy and roadmap decisions
- Identify emerging market opportunities, policy developments, funding programmes and procurement trends across EMEA
- Support thought leadership activities, industry engagement, conferences and strategic customer events
- Contribute to CitySwift's market expansion strategy by identifying opportunities to strengthen our position within the authority sector
- Support Partner Managers with executive stakeholder engagement, strategic reviews and long-term account development, including hands-on support for selected strategic accounts in-life
- Provide specialist authority expertise to Sales, Partner Management and Product teams, reducing dependency on operational leadership for subject matter support.
- Drive authority new business acquisition, accelerate pipeline conversion rates, deepen stakeholder engagement, and shape strategic product roadmap priorities
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Significant experience working with or for transport authorities, public sector transport organisations, or related consultancy environments
- Strong understanding of public transport planning, network design, service performance management and authority decision-making processes
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders within transport authorities, government agencies, or regional transport bodies
- Strong understanding of public transport policy, procurement, franchising, funding and data environments
- Ability to translate complex transport challenges into strategic, customer-facing solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting customer-facing discussions and business case development
- Experience working across international markets
- Interest in working closely with product teams to shape solutions and market strategy
- Willingness to travel
