The Opportunity
As a Software Engineering Manager working on the Deployment Planner and Fleet Management team, you will be able to directly impact how customers get delivery of the products they purchase and how Flock ensures those products stay online and capture evidence. As a manager, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams who are responsible for building the tools that help facilitate the factory production, test, and delivery of our products, along with supporting the repair, RMA, and redeployment of devices.
The Skillset
Experience leading/managing full-stack development teams with an emphasis on cloud development and distributed systems - we leverage AWS
Background leveraging frameworks and languages like react, node, javascript, and typescript
Capable of getting hands-on when needed and coaching/mentoring other engineers
Bonus: Experience with IoT devices, electrical engineering, or any factory/production flows

Lead your team through weekly 1:1s, sprint ceremonies, and project meetings.
Develop a strong understanding of the features we are working on, your team’s OKRs, our roadmap, support and on-call schedule.
Learn our software design philosophies and code architecture inclusive of which repositories map to which business cases
Become the point person for all things Fleet Management
90 Days & Beyond
Develop a strong understanding of your teams' strengths and weaknesses. Provide feedback to team members and contribute to career development discussions.
Work with product management to prioritize planned and unplanned tasks as they happen and influence as needed.
Actively participate in the roadmap and OKR planning for your teams and contribute ideas to how we build better software
Identify dependencies that could affect your teams and what they own

Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive in your function and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
