About the Role:
Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, Frontend to help us create performant and reliable tools used to drive the fulfillment of customer orders and prescriptions, at scale. As a member of the growing Fulfillment and Pharmacy Engineering UI team, you will help define, build, test, deploy, and support front end solutions that deliver self-service capabilities to our partners in the Operations and Pharmacy teams.
You will report to the Director of Front End Engineering, Care Engineering
You Will:
Collaborate with other UI team engineers, backend platform engineers, technical product managers, and operations / pharmacy end users.
Create engaging and responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies while maintaining the team’s high quality standards.
Monitor and improve the performance of applications, ensuring a seamless user experience and guiding decisions based on your knowledge of the codebase.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to team standards and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the development team.
Participate in the UI team on-call support rotation
Actively participate in retrospectives and help drive continuous improvement in our process and culture.
You Have:
3+ years as a software engineer, shipping production code.
Excellent proficiency in React, Typescript, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3.
Strong understanding of modern web application design principles and their implementation.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles
Understanding of Git or similar version control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong team player, with demonstrable cross team collaboration experience
Nice to Have:
Experience with NextJS and full stack development
Proficiency with hosting front ends and web applications on Kubernetes and AWS
Experience with front end observability via Datadog
