Summary

The Software Engineer will work closely with both product development teams and client-specific projects. This role combines backend software engineering skills with a specialized focus on data-centric tasks, supporting both the creation of new data-driven products and the enhancement of existing ones. Unlike a traditional backend developer, this role requires flexibility to pivot based on evolving client needs, without a fixed roadmap. Reporting to the DIrector, Technical Architecture on the Customer Success team, you will collaborate with the engineering team on productizing custom-built solutions, bridging the gap between ad hoc data solutions and robust, scalable products.

We are preferably looking for candidates located in the Atlanta, GA area. This role is remote.

You will:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to design, build, and maintain an internal ETL tool that enhances data mapping, and supports complex and custom customer requirements, ensuring adaptability and functionality across diverse client infrastructures.

  •  Build, refine, and maintain custom onboarding solutions/importers to ensure they function in varied client environments, adapting for specific infrastructure needs.

  • Develop and maintain backend services with a focus on data-intensive applications and infrastructure.

  • Solve product and client-specific business needs through custom software, enhancements, bug fixes, or consulting.

  • Work on both pre-defined product development projects and client-driven data efforts, sometimes concurrently.

  • Lead mid-sized development projects from start to finish, including technical requirements gathering, data modeling, technology selection, and deployment.

  • Build, refine, and maintain custom solutions to ensure they function in varied client environments, adapting for specific infrastructure needs.

  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in upper environments with data-related applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate effectively across multiple projects and manage shifting priorities based on client needs.

  • Mentor team members to foster knowledge sharing and a strong, supportive team culture.

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with exposure to data engineering, data-focused backend work, or related fields.

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server)

  • Proficiency with T-SQL, and unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, etc.).

  • Experience in a SaaS environment and/or start-up or ambiguous settings with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Bonus Points

  • Digital healthcare solutions or healthcare industry experience

  • Experience with design systems is a plus

  • Experience with Python

  • Experience with full-stack development

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of T-SQL (MSSQL) and data-related best practices.

  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, ML/NLP, Azure DevOps, and SignalR is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with agility.

  • Ability to design flexible and scalable solutions that address both product development and client-specific customization needs.

  • An adaptable, client-oriented approach to engineering work without a rigid roadmap.
