We believe in our responsibility to care for the environment and are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet and the animals that live on it. That’s why all of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste. We are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable, reducing our carbon footprint.

As our Social Marketing Coordinator, you own Poppy’s social success. As our Social Media Coordinator, you will be an integral part of Poppy & Peonies’ growing marketing team, supporting the execution and daily management of our social media presence. Reporting directly to the Social Marketing Specialist, this role is designed to strengthen the operational foundation of our social platforms and ensure seamless, consistent content delivery. You will play a key role in bringing our content calendar to life — ensuring posts go out on time, are optimized for performance, and align with brand voice and visual standards. This position will allow the Social Marketing Specialist to focus on high-level strategy, growth initiatives, and on-set content direction, while ensuring day-to-day excellence across channels. Your work will play a key role in elevating Poppy & Peonies in the digital space and expanding our reach to new audiences. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in social media, content marketing, and digital brand growth.

The Opportunity:

  • Own the day-to-day scheduling and publishing of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and any future platform expansions.

  • Execute against the social content calendar with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

  • Ensure all posts are properly formatted, captioned, tagged, and optimized for each platform while maintaining brand voice and visual standards.

  • Conduct final quality checks on all content prior to publishing (links, tags, formatting, spelling, product mentions, etc.).

  • Assist with editing and preparing short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social-first formats.

  • Identify trending sounds, formats, and cultural moments that align with the brand and can be leveraged for timely content.

  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging features to support ongoing optimization.

  • Support community engagement by assisting with comment moderation and direct messages as needed.

  • Monitor brand mentions and conversations, flagging customer service or brand-sensitive issues appropriately.

  • Collaborate closely with the Social Marketing Specialist to ensure seamless execution, enabling focus on strategy, growth initiatives, and on-set content leadership.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 2+ years of experience in social marketing and content creation. 

  • You have proven experience in social media marketing and content creation, with an emphasis on building, growing, and maintaining social channels.

  • You have strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • You are highly creative with an eye for visual content and the ability to translate ideas into engaging social media content.

  • You have experience in executing content calendars, scheduling posts, and ensuring consistent brand voice across platforms.

  • You are proficient in social media analytics tools (Instagram Insights, Meta Analytics, etc.) to track performance and identify opportunities.

  • You’re a collaborative team player who can brainstorm with others.

  • You’re flexible and can adapt to changing priorities on the go. 

  • You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Annual Salary ranges from $60,000-$70,000 CAD

- 3 weeks of paid vacation per year 

- 5 additional flex days

- $1,500 CAD annual health spending account 

- $250 CAD annual period & menstrual budget 

- $1,000 CAD annual allowance towards Poppy & Peonies product 

- $400 CAD home office setup allowance

Location:

We are a fully remote team across North America. This role will be a fully-remote opportunity, however, there may be domestic or international travel for team gatherings and events!
