About the Role:

We are hiring for an SEO Strategist to join us in a brand new role, focused on expanding our portfolio of B2B brands. In this role you'll leverage your SEO expertise to own the identification of new market opportunities, planning high-quality SEO publications, and coordinating their launch so they are ready to attract organic traffic from day one - with a view to build out a repeatable process to scale your efforts over time.

You will be part of the Media team and will work closely with Content Operations, SEO, Tech, Design, and UX. This role reports to the Content Operations Director.

The overall objective of this role is to consistently launch new SEO content sites that are well-structured, high-quality, and positioned to grow traffic and revenue quickly, handing off launched sites to the Media team for ongoing content production.

Who You Are:

You are a strategic thinker who enjoys building things from scratch. You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning projects end to end. You enjoy working with data, but you also can also synthesize details within a bigger strategic picture, combining numerical data while factoring in more holistic strategic reasoning and perspectives that serve our audiences and our business.

You Are Effective In This Role If You:

  • Enjoy research, fact-checking and sense-checking across many career niches

  • Enjoy researching types of software

  • Doing hands-on detailed research and keyword mining to build high-quality content backlogs

  • Think in systems and like using tech and AI to simplify (not complicate) and augment (not replace) good judgement

  • Are proactive, accountable, and comfortable coordinating across teams

  • Are a creator at heart—you're someone who is energized by launching new digital properties and seeing them grow

What You'll Be Doing (responsibilities):

  • Researching new site opportunities by reviewing search demand, competitors, and audience needs

  • Communicating research to stakeholders to evaluate and decide which new content sites should be launched and in what order

  • Populate the taxonomy (topics) of each site

  • Build comprehensive backlogs of content (focusing on software-related topics) to hand off to the production team

  • Work with content, design, tech, and SEO teammates to bring new sites live

  • Ensure each site is technically sound, properly branded, and ready to be indexed by search engines

  • Coordinating the production of the first 50 pieces of content for each site ('incubating' it)

  • Track early performance after launch and identify improvements and issues

  • Improve site launch process so future launches become easier and smoother

How Your Success Will Be Measured:

  • Number of new sites launched (goal: ~2 per month)

  • Completion of full content backlogs for each site, including well-organized topic groupings

  • Foundational content published for each site (approximately 50 core pages per site)

Your Skillset Includes:

  • Strong experience with SEO research and content planning

  • Ability to analyze search results and competitor sites

  • Experience building content backlogs (keyword mining, backlog grooming, topic mapping)

  • Experience and comfort working with spreadsheets and data (we use AirTable)

  • Comfort working with multiple teams and coordinating projects

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • High attention to detail and follow-through

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience launching or scaling content websites

  • Familiarity with WordPress

  • Familiarity with AirTable

  • Experience working with designers, developers, or UX teams
