Senior/Staff Content Designer
The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a Senior/Staff Content Designer to craft clear, inclusive, and trustworthy product experiences across our client and provider products. You’ll work end-to-end: defining content strategy, shaping value propositions, building language systems, and writing the UI copy that powers critical workflows. The right candidate brings strong product instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex mental and behavioral healthcare and insurance concepts into language that helps people move forward with confidence.
What You’ll Do:
Lead content strategy for your surfaces and journeys for our core products and features by partnering with Product, Design, Research and Ops to uncover explicit and latent customer needs, then map business goals to those needs to define messaging across channels and touchpoints
Craft compelling, prioritized value propositions that, through complexity, define message hierarchy, and decide where messages matter most across the journey
Write product content at every fidelity—from prompts, labels, and error states to onboarding, notifications, and long-form help—explore multiple options, tone shifts, and manage risk and safety, explaining trade-offs with confidence
Shape and evolve content systems, style guidelines, and reusable frameworks to scale consistent experiences across the platform
Audit existing content for inclusivity, clarity, and tone, ensuring outputs align with Grow Therapy’s mission and voice
Bring clarity to complex domains by translating healthcare jargon into approachable language; partner with Legal and Clinical early and often to align on compliant, human-centered solutions
Work directly in Figma and product prototypes; plan research with product managers/designers/researchers to validate comprehension, trust, and usability
Drive cross-functional alignment by facilitating workshops, making crisp recommendations, managing stakeholders, and documenting decisions as guidelines and best practices
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You Have:
6+ years in content design/UX writing with a portfolio demonstrating impact across journeys, systems, and UI copy (in-house product experience required)
Track record of collaborating cross-functionally and leading high-impact initiatives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
Superior communication and storytelling skills, with sensitivity to tone, inclusivity, and the mental health context
Proven expertise in UX writing, content strategy, and systems thinking
Writing craft that is concise, conversational, inclusive, and precise — plus the range to flex tone appropriately for context and audience
Research fluency and comfort leveraging insights/data and collaborating with researchers to inform strategy and iterate.
Tools & prototyping skills that show you’re comfortable in Figma (and similar), able to troubleshoot interaction/content issues and work directly in prototypes
Business orientation so you can tie choices to outcomes, articulate trade-offs, and show measurable impact on engagement, comprehension, and trust
In-house product experience required; healthtech or consumer-facing product experience preferred
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Portfolio required, showcasing both strategic content work and conversational/AI design samples
Excellent collaboration and mentorship skills
Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
